Mustafar: The volcanic planet Mustafar was initially envisioned as the place where Darth Vader's fortress would be located, an idea later realized in Rogue One. Its fiery landscapes were inspired by real volcanic footage taken during eruptions in Italy.
Kamino: The stormy ocean world of Kamino, home to the clone facility, was influenced by early concepts of a water-covered planet in The Empire Strikes Back that was never used.
Alderaan: Although Alderaan is only briefly shown before its destruction, its lush, idyllic environment was meant to symbolize a peaceful society. Concept art suggested influences from the Swiss Alps, evoking an idealized natural beauty to emphasize the tragedy of its annihilation.
