CRAIT | DAGOBAH | JAKKU | MON CALAMARI | Coaster Set of 4
Crait: The surface of Crait, covered in white salt that reveals red mineral beneath, was inspired by Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat.
Dagobah: Dagobah’s swampy environment was filmed on a soundstage, with the oppressive atmosphere achieved by hanging rubber tubes to resemble vines and constantly pumping in fog.
Jakku: Jakku’s vast desert and crashed starships were inspired by real ship graveyards and desert scavenger cultures, reflecting its role as a hub for salvaging remnants of war.
Mon Calamari: The name “Mon Calamari” was originally a joking reference to calamari (squid), fitting their aquatic nature, but it became the official name of both the species and their oceanic homeworld.
